Mr. Salter

Special Education Instructor

Robert G. Salter grew up in Manhattan, went to high school in the Bronx and attended Columbia College of Columbia University in New York where he majored in anthropology.

Mr. Salter has a B.A. from Columbia College, a certificate in modern British history from the University of London and a M.S.T. in Adolescence [not ‘adolescent’] Education from Fordham University.  He grew up in a neighborhood many languages were spoken--and delicious foreign foods were available--and has always been interested in the people, lands and history of the world (including New York City and the U.S.A.)  He enjoys sports, swimming, gardening, hiking, cooking, movies, comedy, ancient art, renaissance art, and especially 20th-century American music: blues, jazz, rock, soul and hip-hop--and yes, he can free-style.

Mr. Stroh

Special Education Instructor

Course Website: http://maaushistory.blogspot.com/

Mr. Stroh got his Bachelor's of Science  in Communications/Media Studies at New York University after earning an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts/Humanities at Westchester Community College.

He then earned a Master's Degree in English Education at Manhattanville College.

Mr. Stroh enjoys teaching History and English, but is also interested in Math and Science, believing that in reali life, knowledge is not separated into disciplines, it is all connected. When he's not planning for humanities classes he can be found reading up on topics such as quantum mechanics, art history, classic rock, calculus, comparative spirituality, philosophy or where ever else the rabbit hole of inquiry takes him.

Mr. Stroh also plays the guitar and sings along to his favorite rock songs. His playing is rusty, but his voice isn't too shabby.
